With so many pressures in the school system and in our fast-paced society, teacher/administration/staff burnout is an ever-present threat in the life of the educator, resulting in poor outcomes for all involved (the student, the teacher, the school, the community).  How can the educator prevent this debilitating condition?  What can be done if the educator realizes that s/he is experiencing symptoms of burn-out right now?  In this presentation, Dr. Núñez arms the audience with the correct perspective that serves as the precursor for proper self-care: to focus one’s attention on those factors within one’s control.  Doing otherwise will always be the recipe for burnout.
